Fixing duplicate incoming e-mail messages in Outlook 2003

Problem
Two of my network users encounter problem in receiving
e-mail messages. One of them receives 3 duplicate e-mail
from one sender. The other one receives hundreds of
duplicate e-mail from one sender. I check the settings of
their Microsoft Outlook and I notice there are lots of
message rules created for one sender. If there is a duplicate
message rules for one sender, you will also receive duplicate
e-mail message. I delete those duplicate rules. After that, they
now receive only one copy of e-mail message from one sender.

Solution
Check if there are duplicate rules and alerts created for
particular sender.
1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007, click Tools and
    choose Rules and Alert.

2. When Rules and Alert dialog box pop up, look for duplicate
rules. Delete that rules and leave only one for that sender.

3. Close the Rules and Alerts dialog box and click Send/Receive
button to receive new e-mail messages.

This solution works for me everytime I encounter this problem
with in my network. Hope it work on you too.

Remove Content Advisory in Outlook 2003

This morning I transfered the email account and email messages
from one computer to another computer. After I transfered the
email account and messages, I started up the Outlook 2003 and
began to open each folder. When I open the folder, Content
Advisory pop up and ask for password to allow viewing of
email messages on that folder.

Here are the reasons.
1.The Content Advisory of Internet Explorer is enabled.
2.HTML is the format used in email messages of Outlook 2003
that is why Content advisory appear when you open a folder
   in Outlook 2003.

I tried to type password but unfortunately all my password are
not accepted. I open the Internet Explorer and click the internet
option to change the settings. But when I tried to disable the
content advisory, it ask for password. That is a problem to me
because I do not have a password. Here is the solution I made.

1.I disabled the content advisory in Registry Editor. Click Start,
   choose Run and type "regedit".
2. Click OK button and the registry editor will appear.
3. Navigate the key written below.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\policies\Ratings\.Default
4. At the right pane, double click the Enabled and change the
value to zero(0) .
5. Exit the Registry Editor and start the Outlook 2003.
These procedure will disable the Content Advisory and it will
not appear again when you open the folder in Outlook 2003.

Outlook Express Error: 0x800C0133

This morning I received a call from one of our office staff and told me
that she can't receive an email but she can send email. I remotely log in
to her computer and check for any error message that will appear.
I found this error code, Outlook Express Error: 0x800C0133. I search
it in internet and found out that this error is caused by too much email
messages stored in a folder. Outlook Express have already reach its
storage capacity. I check all folders and found that the sent items folder
have 2800 email messages. I gave instruction to the staff and do the
following procedure.

Solution 1.
1. Create New Folder in Draft folder.
2. Transfer all email from Sent Item folder to that new folder.
3. Click Send/Receive and it will now receive new messages.

Solution 2.
You can save email messages in other folder outside the
Outlook Express.
1. Open My Documents, create a new folder and name it like email
     back up.
2. Start the Outlook Express, and open the Sent Item folder.
3. Copy those email messages by selecting one email and press Ctrl + A to
highlight all email messages and press Ctrl + C.
4. Paste it in email back up folder by pressing Ctrl + V.
5. You can now delete all messages from the Sent Item folder.
6. Press Send/Receive from standard toolbar and you will receive new
    messages.

These two solution always works for me everytime I encounter a problem
regarding this error.
